Privacy Policy
Effective September 27, 2026
AI Limits shows how much of your AI services' usage limits you have used and when they reset. It is built so that your data stays on your device. This policy explains what the app handles and where it goes. It applies to AI Limits for Android and for iPhone.
In short
- There is no AI Limits account and no AI Limits server. The developer never receives your data.
- You sign in on each service's own website, shown inside the app. Your password goes to that service, not to AI Limits.
- The app has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
What the app stores on your device
- Sign-in sessions. When you connect a service, you sign in on that service's own page (for example claude.ai) inside the app. The cookies and session data that the service creates are kept in the app's private browser storage, separately for each account. The app uses them only to read your plan, usage and reset times from that service.
- Usage data. Your plan, usage, limits and reset times, and a history of your usage that the app records over time.
- Settings. Your preferences, such as theme, alerts and refresh interval, and the names you give your accounts.
- Widget data. A summary of your usage for the home screen widgets.
The app never sees or stores your passwords for these services.
Where your data goes
- To the services you connect. The app talks directly from your device to the services you sign in to, only to read your own usage: Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's ChatGPT and Codex, Cursor, xAI's Grok, Google's Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Z.ai's GLM Coding Plan, MiniMax and OpenCode Go. What those services do with your data is covered by their own privacy policies.
- To the app store, for purchases. If you buy AI Limits Pro, the payment is handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. AI Limits never sees your payment details; it only learns whether you have Pro.
- Nowhere else. The app doesn't send data to the developer or to any analytics, advertising or tracking service.
Notifications
Alerts, such as a warning at 75% of a limit, are created on your device from the usage data stored there. No notification server is involved.
Backups
On Android, the app's data is excluded from Google backups and from transfers to a new phone. On iPhone, the app's data can be part of your device backups (iCloud or your computer), which you and Apple control.
Deleting your data
- Disconnect an account in the app to delete its sign-in session and usage history.
- Settings > Data Storage > Delete all data removes everything the app has stored.
- Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your device.
Because the developer holds none of your data, there is nothing to delete on our side. To sign out of a service everywhere, or to delete your account with it, use that service's own website.
Security
Sessions are kept in the app's private storage, protected by your phone's app sandbox, and the app connects to the services over HTTPS.
Children
AI Limits is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age for these services in your country.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page will be updated along with the date at the top.
