Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
SipFlow is a water tracker for iPhone, Apple Watch and Android. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: everything stays on your device unless you turn on Battle with friends, and even then only your chosen name, your buddy's look and today's water are shared, with the friends you add. We never sell or share data with anyone else.
What stays on your device
Your buddy's name, the answers you give during setup (such as sex, age group and weight, used only to estimate your sip size and daily goal), your settings, sip history, streak, levels and outfits are stored only on your device. On iPhone the app, its widgets and the Apple Watch app share this data with each other on your devices. Unless you join Battle with friends, nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
Battle with friends (optional)
If you tap Start the battle, SipFlow creates an anonymous account with no email, phone number or password, and stores a small card on Google Firebase: the name you type, your buddy's color, outfit and level, how much water you logged today, your daily goal, your local date and time zone offset. Only you and the friends you link with by code can read it. To send you news like "your friend started drinking", it also stores your device's push notification token. Your sip history, setup answers and everything else stay on your device.
Tap Leave the battle, or Settings › Delete all data, and your card, links, invite code, push token and anonymous account are deleted from the server.
What we don't do
SipFlow has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and needs no sign-up. It contains no third-party SDKs. Battle with friends talks to Google Firebase directly and only when you use it.
Purchases
SipFlow Plus is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. They process your payment under their own privacy policies. SipFlow only asks the store whether Plus is active on your account; it never receives your name, email or payment details.
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your device. Their text includes your buddy's name and never leaves the device. Battle with friends news is sent by our server through Apple or Google push services.
Sharing
When you tap Share on the streak card, SipFlow creates a picture and hands it to your phone's share sheet. You decide where it goes. SipFlow doesn't send it anywhere by itself.
Backups
Your device's own backup (iCloud Backup, or Android backup) may include SipFlow's data according to your device settings. That backup is handled by Apple or Google, not by us.
Deleting your data
Use Settings › Delete all data in SipFlow, or delete the app. If you joined Battle with friends, this also deletes your card from the server. Deleting the app alone does not, so leave the battle first.
Children
SipFlow is not directed at children under 13. It collects no data from anyone who doesn't join Battle with friends. For younger users, setup asks an adult to confirm the daily goal.
Health
SipFlow estimates how much you drink from your taps. It does not measure intake and is not medical advice.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
